3 Suspects Arrested Over 24 Billion Shilling Heroin

Police say the dhow, which had been confronted by Australian navy officers, was forced to dock on the Mombasa coastline after developing mechanical problems and is being held at Mombasa old port at Mji wa Kale.

Mombasa police commander Robert Kitur has confirmed the arrest.

Reports also indicate the boat might have been headed for Tanzania at the time it developed hitches and anti terror unit officers have cordoned off the area as they carry out investigations.
