3 suspects linked to series of robberies in Machakos arrested

Police are holding three suspected robbers linked to violent burglary cases in Matuu town, Machakos county.

The three, who were arrested on Sunday, are accused of breaking into shops and houses in the town before making away with valuables.

Yatta OCPD Eric Ng’etich confirmed the incident saying the suspects were detained at Matuu Police Station and will be arraigned at Kithimani Court on Monday.

In March this year, a gang of 10 robbers shocked Machakos residents after they raided a house and made themselves comfortable for a whole week while the owner was away. Four of the suspects were arrested while six escaped after neighbours tipped area police.
