Hundreds of people have been left homeless after after fire razed down a least 30 structures at Raila village in Lang’ata area, Nairobi.

Several people are reported to have sustained burns and other injuries during the rescue and escape drama.

According to the residents, they woke up to find themselves engulfed in heavy smoke and scampering for safety.

The affected people are now appealing to well wishers to help them after they lost everything in the fire.
