302 police officers sacked in Nyanza
The National Police Service Commission has sacked 302 police officers after they refused to be vetted.
Speaking at Tom Mboya College Kisumu during the kick starting of vetting of 204 senior traffic officers from the Nyanza region, NPSC Chairman Kavuludi, said that they have directed the Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet to send dismissal letters.
Kavuludi added that they have asked the IG to recover any police equipment from the officers.
Recently, junior traffic officers in the Coast region shocked the vetting panel when they revealed high level corruption within the department.
