38 Kabarnet Boys High School students test positive for COVID-19

Thirty-eight students have tested positive for COVID-19 at Kabarnet Boys High School.

According to Baringo County Commissioner Henry Wafula, the 38 boys tested positive on Saturday, November 14 and have been isolated within the school.

The county commissioner added that the Ministry of Health is going on with a fumigation exercise in the school led by the Public Health Officers and Health CEC Mary Panga. 

He further said that all the staff and subordinate will undergo a mandatory COVID-19 test to ascertain their status.

The commissioner called for calm, saying that the situation is under control.

He also urged the locals to adhere to the containment measures to curb the spread of the disease.

The administration said the school will remain open until they are advised otherwise by health officials.
