39 rescued, 20 still trapped in collapsed Kapsabet building
About 20 people are trapped in the Kapsabet town building that collapsed on Thursday.
National Disaster Management Unit deputy director, Pius Masai, said 17 out 39 people who were pulled from the debris were unhurt.
Most of the people who were in the building were casual labourers working on the fourth floor, Pius Masai said.
OCPD Kapsabet, who is leading the rescue operation has appealed for people skilled with cutters and drillers to support the search and rescue mission.
Already, three excavators are already on the site.
