4 Counterfeit Mumias Sugar Distributors Arrested

The three men and a woman are believed to have imported sugar from Brazil which was later re-packed in bags with Mumias sugar company labels for sale locally.

Tonnes of sugar, Mumias packaging bags, a candle making machine and fake shoe polish were also impounded during the operation led by Riruta administration police.

The police impounded the illegal sugar and counterfeit goods from a rental house made of iron sheets.

The four suspects are currently being held at Satellite police station.
