4 Dead After Consuming Poisonous Alcohol

It is alleged that the four consumed an alcoholic drink known as ‘Jebel’ vodka at a bar at Katipanga shopping centre and died suddenly

One of the deceased was Peter Kamau Ng’ang’a, the owner the ‘Kwa wang’ang’a’ bar.

Murang’a County Commissioner Kula Hache however said no Jebel drink was found in any of the 3 bars in the shopping centre

Hache suspects that the alcoholic drink could have been wiped off the shelves of bars in the area after the deaths

She added that police officers have also not found any evidence to prove that the deaths were related to alcohol, claiming that some of the victims had been sick before consuming the alcohol.

Kenya Breweries Limited officials who visited the shopping centre declined to comment on the matter.
