40 years for man who raped, infected daughter with HIV

A 40-year-old man has been handed 40 years in jail after he was found guilty of raping and infecting his step-daughter with HIV by a Kajiado court.

The man  is said to have committed the heinous act of raping his 12-year-old daughter on May this year at Mjengo Estate, Isinya in Kajiado County.

Delivering the ruling, resident magistrate Evans Mbicha declined to consider the accused’s plea for mitigation after the defendant claimed he had two wives who depend on him as a the sole breadwinner.

The convict’s two wives were also present during the ruling.
