41-year-old man claims he killed lover, surrenders to Bungoma police

A man in Bungoma County surrendered to police on Tuesday and reportedly confessed to killing his alleged lover.

The couple had apparently been living together for over a month.

Reports indicate that the 41-year-old man and the deceased woman– whose identities are yet to be revealed –were drinking together before the incident occurred.

Police said the deceased’s body was found with deep cuts believed to have been inflicted by a sharp object.

A search at the man’s house is expected to aid police with their investigations.

It however remains unclear as to what may have led him to kill the woman.

He is being held at Ndengelwa Police Post.
