43 terror suspects arrested in Mombasa set free

43 suspects who were arrested by police and detained for four days at Bamburi police station in Mombasa County over terror claims have been set free.

The 40 students from Holistic Educational Trust together with their three teachers were arrested last Wednesday following intelligence information that they had been ferried from upcountry and neighboring countries for criminal purposes in the region.

The suspects who are all male were arrested after police raided a building which operates as Madarassah school at Shanzu area northern parts of Mombasa county.

Two days ago Coast Regional Coordinator, Nelson Marwa, confirmed the arrest of the 43 suspects whom he described as dangerous people whose mission was to disrupt peace in the area.
