5 Families Hospitalized Over Poisonous Flour

Their plans and that of many others in the same village to enjoy their favorite food this Jamhuri day has turned to pain courtesy of the wheat flour they had bought from a miller in the village.

Those who took chapattis made from the flour complained of thirst dizziness and eye-sight being affected.

One of the victims, Paul Karanja, said all was well until he ate chapattis prepared by his wife from the flour bought last Monday and all family members fell ill there-after with the same symptoms.

The affected residents say they have reported the matter to authorities but no action has been taken.
