5 injured as vehicle rams into revelers outside popular Nairobi club

Police on Friday morning arrested a driver after her car lost control and rammed into revelers at the entrance of a popular pub along Lang’ata road, Nairobi.

In a widely circulated video, two people, a man and a woman are seen lying in a pool of blood in front of the dented Prado believed to be outside the popular 1824 bar.

The man is immobile while his legs are in an awkward position while the lady is crying and can’t seem to stand even though there is someone urging her not to move.

Confirming the incident, Lang’ata OCPD Gregory Mutiso said the incident left two people seriously injured with fractured bones and another three people nursing minor bruises.

They are currently receiving treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).

The driver of the vehicle will be arraigned in court in the afternoon.
