5 police reservists killed in Baringo after ambush by cattle rustlers

Five police reservists have been killed in an ambush by cattle rustlers at Arabal in Baringo South Sub County.

Two other people who were injured are recuperating at Marigat Sub District Hospital.

There was tension in the area as locals claimed that the reservists were targetted because they from a certain community.

The assailants also reportedly stole cattle and fled towards Chepkalacha in Tiaty East.

Several leaders have condemned the attack including Baringo South Charles Kamuren.

He called for security to beefed up in the area.
