51 hospitalized after eating dead camel

At least 51 people have been admitted at the Isiolo General Hospital with symptoms of vomiting and diarrhoe after consuming meat from a camel which had died under mysterious circumstances at Chumvi area.

It is reported that many others not admitted in the hospital are also suffering from the same symptoms in that region.

Doctor in charge of Isiolo hospital Mohamud Abdikadir said the 51 patients have been admitted in an exclusive ward and doctors have been sent to the village to treat other patients because the hospital cannot cater for them due to their large capacity.
