70-year-old in court for trying to rape teen
A 70-year-old man was arraigned at a Webuye court for allegedly trying to rape a 15-year-old girl in a rental house in Webuye Town.
The man from Shikunga Village, Kakamega County lured the girl by lying to her that he was taking her to school, but instead led her to the house before being nabbed by residents.
He denied the charges before Resident Magistrate Stella Buya and was released on Sh100,000 bond or Sh50,000 cash bail.
The case will be mentioned again on the 1st of July before being heard on the 17th of September 2015.
