957 NGOs To Be De-Registered

About 1000 NGO’s in the country face deregistration over what the NGO Coordination Board says is non-compliance with the NGO act.

Citizen TV has exclusively obtained a list of 957 NGO’s to be deregistered including the Kenya Human Rights Commission, Airtel Foundation, Ahadi-Kenya Trust and Kalonzo Muyoka Foundation, accused of either under declaring their funds or failure to file audited accounts with the NGO Council among other issues.
