A tweet about the cost of educating a child in Kenya leaves #KOT reeling
A social media user decided to carry out an experiment concerning just how much it takes to take a child through school in Kenya and the responses were shocking to many.
“New parents – are you thinking of school options for your kids? How much is on your mind for school fees (budget wise, annually)” posed @MediaMK.
Some of the responses were so devastating that even popular media personality Patricia Kihoro posted a meme intimating that she would no longer engage in sex.
From swimming lessons expenses to tuition fees, some of the responses in the thread could force one to change their mind about having kids.
One parent even advised new parents to “just plan which kidney you will be selling,” to which another added, “then afterwards you start asking whether the pancreas is important.”
Below are some of the responses;

Seriously considering public school. Cos currently what I am getting in these private schools is trash. I think unless you are in the sijui british system kind of private schools these other ones are just highly priced public schools.
