Aboud Rogo’s widow detained for seven days
The widow of slain Muslim cleric Aboud Rogo, Haniya Said Saggar, will remain in custody for seven days to allow police conclude investigations into a case were she is accused of having terror links.
Haniya Said Saggar was arrested Wednesday, September 14 by Anti Terror Police at her Kikambala home in Kilifi County.
On Thursday, the Prosecution had asked for 14 days to allow for investigations.
Haniya was arrested for allegedly having links with three terror suspects who were killed in a botched assault on Central Police Station in Mombasa on Sunday, September 11.
The state counsel, Eugene Wangila, filed an application in court on Thursday requesting for more days to enable security agencies expand their investigation and also establish the mastermind of the attack.
According to police affidavit, Haniya is accused of collecting funds to benefit terrorists and also having links with terror suspects.
The suspect is alleged to have communicated with one of the female terrorists before attacking the police station on Sunday.
Her arrest brings to four the number of women detained over the weekend attack.
The case will be mentioned on September 23.
