Activist Omtatah moves to court to have Health Services boss removed
Activist Okiya Omtatah now wants Director of Health Services Kepha Mogere Ombacho removed from office.
Omtatah claims that Ombacho has attained his retirement age of 60 years and should therefore leave office.
Further, Omtatah is accusing the Public Service Commission for irregularly deciding to retain him in the public service by appointing him on local agreement terms for the period two years until 31 December 2019.
He says it had not been demonstrated that the Ombacho cannot be replaced and a job vacancy has not been advertised to gauge whether or not there are people who can take over from him.
“The term of the last council expired in September 2016 but contrary to the law Omacho continues to run the affairs of the Council highhandedly with the chairman who is still in office,” he says.
Omtatah further claims Ombocha has been mismanaging the Public Health Officers and Technicians Council.
