African States To Empower AU Court In Bid To Exit ICC

The African Union has moved to expand the powers of the existing African Court to also try international crimes following concerns that the International Criminal Court based at The Hague is targeting Africa and Africans. Leaders from the continent are expected to endorse the Malabo Protocol granting international criminal jurisdiction to the African Court of Justice and Human Rights.
