Ahadi Kenya Challenges Leaders To Champion Jigger Eradication

Speaking at St. Peter’s Ruambwa Primary School in Busia County, Kamau intimated that Busia and Kakamega were among the leading counties with high jigger infestation.

Kamau further urged chiefs, ward administrators and governors from various counties to help identify those people who are infested with jiggers for treatment.

He also called upon residents to observe sanitation by keeping their homes clean as well as their bodies to reduce jigger infestation.

Ahadi Kenya Trust has in the past rescued children who had been locked up in their homes because of the jigger menace.

In Busia, Ahadi Trust also distributed 6500 and 3000 pairs of shoes and slippers to pupils in St Peters Rwambwa Primary in Budalangi and Butunyi Primary Butula Constituency.
