Aisha Jumwa says IEBC wants her out of August race

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) candidate for the Malindi Parliamentary seat, Aisha Jumwa, has claimed that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) and police are planning to bar her from the race.

Jumwa says she is being accused of destroying billboards of her opponents which she claims is a plot by her rivals and IEBC to ensure she is barred from contesting in the August 8 polls.

Kilifi Governor, Amason Kingi, has backed Jumwa’s claims saying IEBC should be impartial.

Malindi Constituency IEBC official, Masha Sudi, has refused to comment on the issue.
