Al Shabaab behead three in Lamu

Three people have been killed in a night attack by suspected Al Shabaab militants in Lamu County.

Lamu County Commissioner Gilbert Kitiyo says the incident happened after gunmen believed to al-Shabaab militants attacked Maleli village near Witu town.

The suspected Al Shabaab militants then beheaded three people before torching houses.

Nyumba Kumi elders in Lamu led by John Mutemi have urged security authorities to man the area in a bid to avert attacks by the militants.
