Alfred Keter, Birdi in Court over Gilgil Weighbridge Outburst

Keter and Birdi were charged before Chief Magistrate Peter Gesora with three counts of creating disturbances, incitement and using the president's name to invoke fear.

The two legislators were, however, released on a Sh300,000 bond each or cash bail of Sh150,000 each. The case will be heard on July 9.

Keter was filmed in January threatening and insulting police officers and staff at the Gilgil weighbridge along Nairobi-Nakuru highway, after a truck supposedly belonging Birdi was held by clearance officers for apparent lack of paperwork.
