Angry mob attacks man in Kuresoi over dead cow with missing body parts

Irate residents in Kuresoi South Sub-county attacked a man they claim is behind the death of a cow that was found with parts of its body missing.

They claim the man and several others had an altercation with the owner of the animal only for it to be found dead the next day.

Speaking to Chamgei FM, the residents from Kabongoi village in Tinet ward accused the man of trying to instil fear in them through witchcraft practices.

Officers from Kamwaura Police Post who arrived at the scene managed to save the man from the angry mob that was baying for his blood.

Police are now searching for the other suspects who are alleged to be accomplices of the suspect who is in custody.

The residents claim that cases of animals being killed and parts of the body chopped off by unknown men has become rampant.
