Anti-Doping Report Released

The task force investigating claims of doping among Kenyan athletes has handed its report to Sports Cabinet Secretary Hassan Wario which includes names of suspected masterminds of the offence. Presenting the names contained in a sealed blue envelop the chairman of the anti-doping taskforce Professor Moni Wekesa said his team was concerned that in a span of one year, 17 Kenyan athletes were banned after they were found to have used performance enhancing substances. And as Waihiga Mwaura reports the ball is now in the court of the cabinet secretary to seek ways of prosecuting those found culpable and clear Kenya’s name on the global athletics arena.
