Anti Jigger Campaign In Nyahururu

Dr. Stanley called on the county governments to improve infrastructure at learning institutions to help in controlling jiggers infestation.

Kamau was speaking when he was hosted by Mps Alice Muthoni and Mary Wambui together with Women Representatives Mary Mbugua of Nakuru County and her Laikipia Counterpart Jayne Apollos at St. Luis Primary school.

The team called for the establishment of a special kitty to eradicate the jigger menace in the country.

Ahadi Kenya and the MPs visited the area and distributed shoes to school going pupils in a bid to fight against jiggers in Nyahururu.

The pupils also got their feet washed and classes disinfected.

The issue of walking barefooted is a factor that has contributed to the alarming cases on jiggers infestation among school going children in the area.
