AP officer shoots two, turns gun on himself in love triangle

An Administration Police officer allegedly shot two people before turning his gun on himself in what is suspected to be a love triangle.

According to a junior police officer who requested anonymity, the officer had been assigned to guard the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) offices in Litein town, Bureti.

He reportedly shot the duo, a man and a woman, in one of the bars in the town before turning the gun on himself.

The two were rushed to Litein Mission Hospital in critical condition.

According to Bureti Criminal Investigations Officer Stephen Ole Tanki, the officer died on the spot while the condition of the victims is yet to be established.
