Appeal Court Upholds Tharaka-Nithi Women Rep Election

The three judge bench upheld Nkatha's election on the grounds that there was no sufficient evidence to nullify her election

The verdict was read by Justice Al Nashir Visram.

The other judges in the case were Martha Koome and Otieno Ondieki.

The appeal had been filed by Mercy Mutegi who had claimed that the election was marred with bribery and witchcraft allegations

The same court is today expected to give its verdict on the fate of Tharaka Nithi Governor Samuel Mbae.
