Apple Unveils The Apple Watch

That wait is over as Apple has unveiled its much anticipated smart watch, the device they hope will transform the market of wearable technology.

The Apple Watch, whose price will start at USD349, has a rectangular face of about 1.5 inches (38 mm) which is the smaller of two sizes.

The watch wirelessly tethers to an iPhone, measures heart rate, and can tap wearers on the wrist to signal a new message or appointment.

It is going to become especially convenient to pocket the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and even bigger 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus in your jeans, or to always stow the thin, but still 9.7-inch iPad Air 2 in a bag.

DIAGNOSE HEALTH PROBLEMS

However, Apple has not made it clear how it will be able to diagnose your health from the information.

Speaking a week ago in Germany, Apple Inc Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook said there was “a ton” of Apple Watch announcements coming soon, including fitness apps and business apps, and hotels turning the Apple Watch into the key for your room.

Along with the release of The Apple Watch, Apple has also released the iPhone 6.

The phone's screen measures 4.7in (11.9cm), and the iPhone 6 Plus's measure's 5.5in (14.0cm), a change that analysts say should help prevent users from migrating to Android.

Apple has also announced a new service called Apple Pay. Chief Executive Tim Cook said he hopes it would "replace the wallet" in shops.
