Argentina Through To World Cup Final

This was after they beat Netherlands 4-2 in post match penalties

Sergio Romero, Argentina's goalkeeper was the man of the match after he saved two penalties leading to the win

The goalkeeper saved penalties taken by Ron Vlaar and Wesley Sneijder

Romero with three straight clean sheets has only conceded three goals in the entire tournament

The Final match will played at Maracana stadium in Brazil.

The last time Argentina made it through to the final was in 1990 where they lost to the Germans

Dutch goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen who was taken off in the last minute of extra time  in quarter finals match against Costa Rica in favor of Tim Krul was easily beaten from the penalties.

Netherlands Coach Louis Van Gaal defended his decision of not making certain changes which many fans felt would have helped the team to win

“If I had the opportunity to substitute Jasper, I would’ve done it, but I had already used three substitutes, so I couldn’t do that.  I didn’t want to take a risk with De Jong because he would be injured. I substituted Van Persie because he was exhausted.”

Romero said saving penalties is a matter of faith and luck.

“Penalty kicks are a question of luck, truth be told. You can dive and not make it, like their goalkeeper did. But I had faith in myself and thank God everything came out ok.” Said Romero.

Netherlands will play hosts Brazil on Saturday in third-place play-off.

German who thrashed Brazil 7-1 in Wednesday’s match at Belo Horizente will be encouraged after the match in which both sides displayed an average perfomance.
