Armed gang terrorising Nyeri residents warned

Nyeri County Commissioner Onesmus Musyoki has warned an armed gang that has been terrorizing people in Nyeri County.

The gang has been been raiding residential areas, stealing everything from utensils to farm animals.

On Wednesday night, residents said the gang drilled a hole in a residential house through which they managed to steal utensils from the home.

Last month, the gang reportedly slaughtered chickens in house they raided and forced them to join in the feast.

Speaking during Mashujaa Day celebrations at Dedan Kimathi Grounds, Nyeri deputy governor Samuel Githaiga said the county security team would track the gang and apprehend it.

Ambassador Githaiga asked Nyeri residents to assist the security officers to nab the gang.
