Armed thugs kill guard in Kirinyaga, steal 2 shovels and car batteries
Armed gangsters killed a night guard during a raid a sewerage construction site in Ndomba, Kutus in Kirinyaga.
The thugs who were armed with crude weapons attacked Mannases Kuria at the proposed Ksh. 1.6 billion sewerage project.
The deceased’s brother, Francis Mwangi Ticha who is a supervisor at the site said he was shocked to find his brother in a shallow pit with both his hand and feet tied.
Ticha said he was notified of his brother’s gruesome murder by his employer.
The thugs then made away with two sand shovels, vehicle batteries and also siphoned diesel from lorries parked at the site.
Mwea-East Sub-county Deputy commissioner Fred Ayeko said the deceased multiple deep head injuries.
A second watchman who was on duty at the time is also fighting for his life at the Kerugoya Refferal Hospital.
The deceased’s body was taken to Kibugi Funeral home, with the police boss announcing that investigations into the matter are underway.
