Arrest corrupt officials , Ababu tells Uhuru
Labor Party leader Ababu Namwamba has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to arrest those guilty of looting taxpayers’ money, following the recent National Youth Service (NYS) scandal probe.
The Budalangi MP said that Kenyans want the President to take quick action graft, adding that cases of graft have been rampant since Jubilee took office.
“I want to challenge the president, use this opportunity to demonstrate you can walk the talk in this fight against corruption,”
“People like Waiguru are still freely walking around. Arrest these officials, put them away and deal with them decisively,” said Ababu.
According to Ababu, Uhuru’s government is taking little action on the people accused of corruption cases, adding that the culprits should be jailed.
“Whatever that must be done to end corruption, let it be done,” said Ababu.
Speaking at 64 stadium Eldoret town Uasin Gishu, Ababu Namwamba stated the country was falling apart as a result of corruption.
Ababu’s sentiments come in the wake of numerous graft scandals – scandals that have dominated headlines, with various government offices being linked to the rot.
