Aspirants threaten to ditch Jubilee over nomination uncertainities

Political aspirants from Narok County are demanding responses from Jubilee Party Secretariat on claims that some leaders from the county have already being handed direct nomination.

The politicians pointed out at Narok East Member of Parliament Lemanken Aramat, who they claimed has been going round his constituency bragging to be in possession of the party nomination certificate.

“The current MP, who was in URP but is now in Jubilee after the merger, has been chest thumping that he already has the nomination certificate. This is very detrimental to the party,” decried one of the aspirants.

The leaders said that the issue is highly demoralizing since they have worked tirelessly to pouch members from other political parties, especially from opposition, in order to boost their numbers.

“We are pleading with them to intervene to assure us free nominations. We don’t want our work to be rendered nil because we are ready to vote for Jubilee,” continued the aspirant.

They now want Raphael Tuju-led Jubilee Party Secretariat to respond to their grievances failure to which they will ditch the party and join the opposition.

“I want Jubilee office to confirm to me whether or not they have already given out certificates before nominations. We want to know this so that we can move to other parties or direct our people on how to vote,” decried another aspirant.
