Bar ODM MPs from commenting on CORD matters, Raila told

Migori County Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leaders have challenged party leader, Raila Odinga, to bar any party legislator from commenting on the state of the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD).

Speaking to Citizen Digital Thursday, October 6, the party officials led by the chairperson, Philip Makabongo, said some legislators have been making remarks which are likely to destabilizes the coalition yet ODM needs other parties in the coalition to win the 2017 General Election.

Makabongo said it is unfortunate that ODM party is struggling to maintain unity within the coalition while some members are disintegrating the political faction by making statements that cause friction between the coalition partners.

His statement was echoed by Suna East sub county ODM Secretary, Joseph Nyambori, who also appealed to the party to prescribe disciplinary measures to any legislators or any aspirant eyeing the party ticket from commenting on the affairs of the coalition.

He said matters of the coalition should be left in the hands of the three principals; Raila Odinga (ODM), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper) and Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya).

Meanwhile, the officials have launched a voter registration exercise targeting students in secondary schools.
