BBI stakeholder forums to resume tomorrow

The Bulding Bridges Initiative (BBI) stakeholder forums are set to resume eight days after their postponement to allow Kenyans mourn the death of retired president Daniel arap Moi.

Joint Secretary Martin Kimani said, following an end to the mourning period, the Institutional Stakeholders Consultative forums will be held on Thursday and Friday at the Laico Regency Hotel from 9am to 4pm.

“The purpose of the forum is to validate the report of the Building Bridges Initiative Task Force,” read the statement.

According to Mr. Kimani, Thursday’s forum will include officials from the Ministry of Public Service, the National Cohesion and Integration Commission, the Multi Sectoral Forum as well as Women in Business.

The Friday meeting, on the other hand, will draw stakeholders from Youth 4 BBI, the Country Assemblies Forum and the Political Parties Liason Committee.

All rallies and public engagements pertaining to BBI were on February 4 postponed in honour of the late Moi after President Uhuru Kenyatta called for national mourning.

Moi was buried on Thursday at his Kabarak home in a State funeral.
