Bhang worth Ksh.15 million destroyed in Migori
Bhang worth a street value of Ksh.15.2 million was on Monday destroyed by Migori County security officers under the watch of court officials.
The 1,524 kilograms of bhang, which had been presented before court several years ago as exhibit, were burnt down at Lichota grounds in Suna West Sub-county.
Migori County Police Commander said the marijuana was presented before court as exhibit three years ago.
The police boss noted that much of the bhang nabbed in Migori is mostly on transit from Tanzania to other parts of the country.
He however reiterated commitment to fight bhang trafficking in the area, appealing on the locals to support the efforts by giving intelligence to security officers.
