Bhang worth Ksh.16 million nabbed inside a water bowser

Police in Marsabit County have impounded 561 kilograms of bhang estimated to be worth a street value of Ksh.16 million.

Marsabit County Police Commander Johnstone Wachira said the 104 stones of bhang were nabbed during a crackdown by multi-agency security team acting on a tipoff from the public.

The bhang was found hidden in a water bowser at Gas area in North Horr Constituency at around 1am on Thursday.

Investigations indicate the truck is belongs to a company known as Gajaj Road Bridge Construction Company from the neighbouring Wajir County.

According to the police commander, the driver of the water bowser managed to escape but a hunt for him is underway.
