Bid to oust Barrack Muluka as ANC Secretary General flips

An attempt to oust Barrack Muluka as Amani National Congress Secretary General by Nominated MP Geoffrey Osotsi has been thwarted.

This follows the decision by the High Court to extend orders suspending Muluka’s removal by the Political Parties Tribunal a month ago.

The directions by Judge Cecelia Githua means that Muluka will continue serving as the Secretary General until the matter is heard and determined.

“I’m persuaded that tilt of scales of justice lies more in granting the orders sought to ensure stability in the functions of the party,” ruled justice Githua.

In April the Tribunal nullified Muluka’s appointment upon finding that ruled that it was done irregularly last October.
