DP Ruto: Biden and Harris win restores faith in democracy

Deputy President William Ruto has congratulated America’s President-Elect Joe Biden who trounced Donald Trump in the battle for the country’s top job.

Taking to Twitter, DP Ruto said Biden and Senator Kamala Harris’s win restores the faith in democracy and the supremacy of the people.

“The global community who believe in democracy celebrate and share in your success,” DP Ruto wrote.

Ruto who is eyeing the presidency in 2022 has previously watered down claims of the existence of a “Deep State”-a powerful group of shadowy characters who call the shots in the running of a state.

While endearing himself to the masses with the hustler nation tag, DP Ruto has previously expressed confidence that democracy will reign high in 2022, with the people power giving him a ticket to State House.

During a visit to Kitengela in September, Ruto said he was aware of the existence of the “deep state” but expressed confidence that he has the artillery to fight back.

“We are ready and waiting for that ‘Deep State’ and system that they are talking about. We will go head-on because we have nothing to fear,” he said.

During his tours across the country, DP Ruto has said the Kenyan majority-the hustlers- have the numbers to topple the status quo for long due  seat the the table.

Its important to note that Biden and Ruto share a similarity:they have both served in governments for decades and at one time, served as Vice Presidents.

What happens in 2022 however remains to be seen.

Biden emerged victorious on Saturday, ending a week of rampant speculation, rounds of conspiracy theories, misinformation and political putsch.

He broke the record, garnering the highest popular vote in America with the first ever female Vice President at his side.
