Bishop in trouble for receiving DP Ruto in a ‘CORD stronghold’
A Bishop in Butere, Mumias is in trouble for apparently inviting Deputy President William Ruto for an event in the area.
Leaflets were found in the area Thursday morning threatening Bishop Timothy Ambunya of unspecified consequences for hosting the Deputy President in the area, which they say is a CORD stronghold.
The Bishop has confirmed that he found leaflets at the gate of his office and home compound with wild allegations against him.
The ACK Bishop, who now claims his life is in danger, has since reported to matter at the Butere Police Station.
According to Butere Deputy County Commissioner Jack Obuo, the police have taken up the matter and investigations are ongoing, adding that those found culpable of threatening the Bishop will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
