Bishop Wanjiru denies backing Wamalwa, says shes gunning for Kideros seat
Bishop Margaret Wanjiru has denied claims she is backing Water CS Eugene Wamalwa for Nairobi governor in next year’s General Election, insisting she is still in the race to replace Evans Kidero.
Speaking at her Jesus is Alive Ministries, Bishop Wanjiru says no candidate will be preferred for any post as President Uhuru Kenyatta assured.
Speaking at the same service, Wamalwa has thanked leaders backing his Nairobi gubernatorial bid in the 2017 poll, vowing that Jubilee Party will carry the day in the election by a convincing margin.
On his part, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has dared ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi to decamp to Coalitions For Reforms and Democracy (CORD), even as he expressed hope Wamalwa and Wanjiru will work together for the Jubilee ticket.
And Nairobi Woman MP Rachael Shebesh and his Mathare ODM counterpart Steve Kariuki have vowed to rally support to ensure Jubilee wins the gubernatorial and the presidential seats in 2017.
