Bishop warns people planning to grab school playground

An ACK Bishop in the Diocese of Kirinyaga has launched a scathing attack on land grabbers in the county.

Bishop Joseph Kibucwa is alleging that a strong cartel in Mwea West Sub-County is working hard to grab the ACK-Sponsored Thumaita Girls Secondary School playground.

“This school was built during the colonial era and since then it has owned the playground, but there are land grabbers who want it, just like they want to grab the Kenya Agricultural Research Institute land,” lamented the Bishop.

The bishop was speaking on Saturday April 1 at the school in Gichugu Constituency in an event graced by the area Legislator, Njogu Barua, who urged local leaders to preach peace during this electioneering period.
