Blessed Sister Irene Stefanis Remains Moved
The remains were moved in a procession in a special car from Mathari to Saint Mary's Primary School for a special service.
Before the remains were moved, there was confirmation that the seal on sister Stefani's tomb had not been broken.
Hundreds of Christians braved the morning cold to witness the historic moment.
The remains have been laying at the Mathari Consolata Catholic church for 20 years after they were exhumed in 1995 from Mathari Cemetery.
Sister Irene Stefani, who died in 1930, was declared a Blessed during Saturday's beatification ceremony.
