Boda boda rider stabbed to death in Migori

A bodaboda rider was on Monday morning murdered by a suspected thug at Wouth-Ogika estate in Suna West sub county, Migori County.

According to Migori County Police Commander Joseph Nthenge, the rider identified as Michael Odhiambo was in the company of three of his colleagues, Daniel Simbo, Victor Gwendo and Stephen Ochieng who were pursuing two suspected thugs who had been spotted in the area at around 4am.

Mr. Nthenge said the four boda boda operators had just cornered the two suspects when one of them stabbed Michael Odhiambo.

The deceased was stabbed on the left side of his chest, succumbing to the injury.

The police boss added that a motorcycle number plate KMEM 598S was recovered together with a hammer and pliers abandoned by the two suspects who managed to escape.

The body of the deceased was moved to Migori Level Four Hospital mortuary as investigations into the incident continue.
