Bodies of Kenyans murdered in Tanzania returned

The bodies of two Kenyans who were murdered in Tanzania have been returned to Narok County.

Paul Rop and Richard Rotich were allegedly stabbed while on a drinking spree in the neighbouring country.

The two are said to have been on a trip to buy a cow in Mangucha market Tanzania when they reportedly decided to have a drink after which they were attacked and killed.

A somber mood engulfed the entire Rotgaa village where burial preparations are underway.

Residents said they were living in fear and now want the government to assure them of safety and provide more police vehicles to boost security in the area.

Area Chief Paul Kirui assured the family and friends that they were investigating the cause of the killings and security will be beefed up.

The Transmara West OCPD then met Tanzanian police officers at the scene of the crime.

The media was not allowed to film events there and were kept some distance away.
