Boinett ordered not to transfer weighbridge officers

The Industrial Court has stopped the transfer of over 100 weighbridge police officers.

The officers moved to court on Wednesday complaining over the 10 day notice of transfer appealing that was too short.

The court heard that most of the officers have families who are engaged in various economic activities as well as school going children.

Industrial Court Judge Monica Mbaaru issued a temporary order restraining the transfers issued by the Inspector General of police Joseph Boinett.

The case will be heard on June 22nd, 2015
