Bomet: Class 6 pupil kills self after stealing 300 shillings from uncle
A sombre mood has engulfed the Kapset area, Konoin sub-county after a lifeless body of a 12-year-old boy was found on Saturday morning dangling from a tree in Mosebe village.
Dalmas Kitur the assistant chief Kapset sub-location said the body of the Class 6 pupil at the Kapset primary pupil was traced by his father after he went missing on Friday.
He had reportedly been questioned over a reported missing KSh. 300 shillings from his uncle’s home before he went missing.
Kitur said the deceased was confronted by his mother after he was seen sneaking into his uncle’s house before the KSh.300 went missing.
He was later cornered by his mother the same day after he showed up at home with a brand-new watch and KSh.100 shillings in his pocket.
“The boy after sensing his father might beat him up disappeared in the evening hours only for his body to been seen on the tree in the morning ” Kitur said.
Officers from the Mogogosiek Police station visited the scene and conducting investigations into the matter
